Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of SkillRevelation, a management and educational administration platform operated by SkillRevelation (“SkillRevelation,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using SkillRevelation, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the platform on behalf of a school, educational institution, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

1. About SkillRevelation

SkillRevelation is an online platform designed to help educational institutions manage academic and administrative activities. Depending on the services enabled for an institution, the platform may provide functionality including:

• Student and parent management
• Faculty and staff management
• Admissions and registrations
• Attendance management
• Fee management
• Examination and assessment management
• Report cards and academic records
• Timetable management
• Transportation management
• Communication and notifications
• School reports and dashboards
• Learning and educational resources
• Other school-management and administrative functions

The features available to an individual user may vary according to the institution's subscription, configuration and assigned user permissions.

2. Eligibility and Authorized Use

You may use SkillRevelation only if you are authorized to do so. Users may include:

• School administrators
• Teachers and faculty
• Students
• Parents or guardians
• Management personnel
• Authorized staff members
• Other users authorized by the institution

If you are under the age of majority, you should use the platform only with the involvement and authorization of your parent, guardian, school, or other authorized institution, as applicable.

3. User Accounts

Certain features require a user account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when required.
• Keep your login credentials confidential.
• Not share your account with unauthorized individuals.
• Take reasonable steps to protect your account.
• Notify the appropriate administrator if you believe your account has been compromised.
• Log out after using the platform on shared devices.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account, except where unauthorized activity results from circumstances outside your reasonable control.

4. Institutional Accounts

Where SkillRevelation-SMS is provided to a school or educational institution, the institution may be responsible for:

• Creating and managing user accounts.
• Assigning appropriate user roles and permissions.
• Providing accurate institutional information.
• Determining which features users may access.
• Managing authorized personnel.
• Ensuring that users comply with applicable institutional policies.

The institution is responsible for ensuring that its use of the platform complies with applicable laws and regulations.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use SkillRevelation-SMS only for lawful and legitimate educational or administrative purposes. You must not:

• Access accounts or information without authorization.
• Attempt to bypass security or access controls.
• Interfere with the operation of the platform.
• Introduce malware, viruses, malicious code or harmful content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to servers, databases or systems.
• Scrape, copy or systematically extract platform data without permission.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to discover the source code except where permitted by applicable law.
• Use the platform to distribute unlawful, defamatory, abusive, threatening or fraudulent material.
• Use another person's account without authorization.
• Misrepresent your identity or authorization.
• Use the platform for activities that could damage SkillRevelation, an institution, or another user.

6. User Content and Institutional Data

Users and institutions may enter or upload information into the platform, including student records, academic information, attendance records, documents, communications and other institutional information (“User Data”).

The school or institution generally remains responsible for the accuracy, legality and appropriateness of the User Data it provides or manages through the platform.

You represent that you have the necessary rights and authorization to submit information to the platform.

SkillRevelation may process User Data as necessary to provide, maintain, secure and support the services, subject to the applicable Privacy Policy and any applicable agreement with the institution.

7. Accuracy of Information

SkillRevelation provides technology and administrative tools but does not guarantee that information entered by users or institutions is accurate, complete or current. Schools, administrators, teachers and other authorized users are responsible for verifying information before relying on it for important academic, financial or administrative decisions.

8. Academic and Administrative Decisions

SkillRevelation-SMS is a software platform and does not independently make official academic, disciplinary, admission, employment, financial or institutional decisions on behalf of a school. Any grades, attendance records, reports, recommendations, calculations or other information displayed by the platform should be reviewed by authorized institutional personnel where appropriate. The institution remains responsible for its decisions and policies.

9. Fees and Payments

Where SkillRevelation-SMS is provided under a paid subscription or service agreement:

• Applicable fees will be communicated to the institution or customer.
• Subscription periods and payment terms may be specified in the applicable order, invoice, quotation or agreement.
• Fees may vary according to selected features, number of users, institutions, storage or other service requirements.
• Failure to make required payments may result in suspension or limitation of services, subject to the applicable agreement.

Where the platform facilitates student or school fee payments, the applicable payment provider's terms may also apply.

10. Availability of the Service

We aim to provide a reliable and secure service, but we do not guarantee that SkillRevelation-SMS will always be:

• Available without interruption.
• Free from errors.
• Free from delays.
• Compatible with every device, browser or operating system.
• Available without scheduled or emergency maintenance.

Service interruptions may occur because of maintenance, upgrades, infrastructure issues, network problems, security incidents, third-party services or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

11. Maintenance and Updates

We may modify, update, improve, add or remove features from SkillRevelation-SMS from time to time. Updates may be required for:

• Security.
• Performance.
• Compatibility.
• Legal or regulatory requirements.
• New functionality.
• Bug fixes and technical improvements.

We may also temporarily disable certain features when necessary for maintenance or security.

12. Third-Party Services

Certain functionality may depend on third-party services, including hosting providers, payment processors, communication services, analytics providers, authentication services or other technology providers. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. SkillRevelation is not responsible for services operated independently by third parties, except to the extent required by applicable law or an applicable contractual agreement.

13. Intellectual Property

SkillRevelation-SMS and its underlying technology, software, design, branding, interfaces, documentation, logos, graphics and other proprietary materials are owned by or licensed to SkillRevelation and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or a separate written agreement, you may not:

• Copy or reproduce the software.
• Sell, sublicense or redistribute the platform.
• Modify or create derivative works from the software.
• Remove proprietary notices.
• Reproduce the platform's design or functionality for commercial purposes.
• Use SkillRevelation trademarks without permission.

14. User and Institutional Data Ownership

Subject to applicable law and contractual arrangements, institutions and users retain their rights in the data they provide to the platform. Granting SkillRevelation access to such information does not transfer ownership of that information to SkillRevelation. SkillRevelation may process such information as necessary to provide and operate the services.

15. Confidentiality

SkillRevelation will take reasonable measures to protect confidential institutional and user information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable contractual obligations. Users must also maintain the confidentiality of information they obtain through the platform and must not disclose information to unauthorized persons.

16. Data Protection and Privacy

Use of SkillRevelation-SMS is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information may be collected, used, stored and protected. The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.

17. Suspension or Termination

SkillRevelation or an authorized institution may suspend or terminate access to an account where reasonably necessary, including where:

• These Terms are violated.
• The account is used for unauthorized activities.
• There is a security risk.
• Required payments are not made.
• Continued access could harm the platform or other users.
• Suspension is required by law.

Where reasonably practicable, affected customers may be provided notice before termination, subject to the applicable agreement and circumstances.

18. Effect of Termination

After termination or expiration of an account or institutional service:

• Access to the platform may be disabled.
• Certain information may no longer be available through the account.
• Data may be retained where required by law, contractual obligations, legitimate business requirements or applicable retention policies.
• Data handling after termination will remain subject to applicable privacy and contractual requirements.

Institutions should maintain appropriate backups or request applicable data exports before termination where such functionality is available.

19. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SkillRevelation-SMS is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the platform will always meet every particular institutional requirement or operate without interruption or error.

Information generated or displayed through the platform should be reviewed by authorized users before being relied upon for significant academic, financial, administrative or other decisions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SkillRevelation will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, the platform. This may include, where legally permitted:

• Loss of profits.
• Loss of business opportunities.
• Loss of goodwill.
• Loss of data caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
• Business interruption.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law. For institutional customers, any additional liability limitations may be governed by the applicable commercial agreement or service contract.

21. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to take responsibility for claims, losses or expenses arising from your:

• Unauthorized use of the platform.
• Violation of these Terms.
• Violation of applicable law.
• Infringement of another person's rights.
• Submission or use of User Data without appropriate authorization.

This provision does not apply to the extent that the claim results from SkillRevelation's own unlawful conduct or obligations that cannot legally be transferred to the user.

22. Force Majeure

SkillRevelation will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances reasonably beyond its control, including:

• Natural disasters.
• Fire or flooding.
• Internet or telecommunications failures.
• Power outages.
• Cybersecurity incidents.
• Government actions.
• War or civil unrest.
• Epidemics or pandemics.
• Failures of third-party infrastructure.
• Other events beyond reasonable control.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are made, the updated version will be published through the platform or website and the “Last Updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the platform after applicable changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

24. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of India. Subject to applicable law and any separate agreement with an institution, disputes relating to these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in Odisha, India.

25. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted or modified to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, where legally permitted. The remaining provisions will continue to remain in effect.

26. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the applicable Privacy Policy and any separate written agreement between SkillRevelation and an institution or customer, constitute the terms governing use of the applicable services. Where a separate written commercial agreement conflicts with these Terms, the applicable commercial agreement will control to the extent of the conflict.
